Suicide Squad only a few weeks away, Warner Bros. and DC Films knew they didn’t need to go big at Comic-Con International this year, only nudge us just a little bit more in the right direction. To that end, their big reveals weren’t new so much as improved: a new trailer cut to emphasize the film’s soundtrack and a new batch of publicity photos showing off the film’s key characters.

Like most of the new batches of Suicide Squad footage and photos we’ve seen thus far, you’re not going to get a lot of new information by staring at these pictures. By now, we know what to expect from each member of the squad; these photos only serve to give us a better look at the costume designs of each. It’s one thing to take a screenshot of a trailer and end up with a pixelated image of Cara Delevingne’s Enchantress and quite another thing entirely to be gifted with a high resolution photo. I fully expect for these to find their way way onto photo backgrounds and Twitter avatars by the end of the day.

For that one person out there who is just hearing about Suicide Squad for the first time — and that has to be the case, right? Someone somewhere just clicked on a Facebook post and is wondering what the heck all these angry looking bad guys are all about — here is the full synopsis for the film:

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super-Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Suicide Squad stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, and many more. You can catch Suicide Squad in theaters on August 5, 2016.
