Despite a well-known roster of heroes, Arrow and The Flash’s Atom-centric teamup spinoff still ranks as something of a mystery with fans. Now at least, a legendary formal title may have emerged for the new series, as well as insight into how long the series would last each season.

Take this one with a small grain of salt for the moment, as actors wouldn’t necessarily know all the details, and titles may well change, but according to The Flash star John Wesley Shipp, the series has at least a tentative title of “Legends.” Shipp recently answered fan questions at Cape Comic-Con and referred to the series as such, also claiming it would run for 13 episodes.

Granted, Shipp also refers to Supergirl as a spinoff of Arrow or The Flash (their universes have been said not to overlap), but the actor would have at least some insight into the show’s working development, especially if rumors of the team appearing in The Flash’s finale are to be believed. Thus far, we know the series to include Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Ciara Renee (Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Caity Lotz’s character, Rip Hunter (Doctor Who alum Arthur Darvill), with a third DC superhero yet to be cast.

We’ll see if DC or The CW look to make anything more official in the coming week, but what should the spinoff of Arrow and The Flash call itself, and will 13 episodes proved a proper testing ground? You can also watch Shipp’s comments for yourself below.
