Atomic Robo Animated Storyboards Hit The Web

Not content to harness the power of science in his war on evil in his ongoing comic book series alone, Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener’s Atomic Robo will soon be making his way into two animated shorts by way of two separate animation teams.

The Fictory has posted new panels from the shorts’ storyboards, including shots of Robo preparing to be squished by a train car. It’s the kind of thing that should sit perfectly well with fans of the series (provided Robo doesn’t actually get squished, of course).

Animators Lindsay and Alex will also reportedly roll out an as-yet-unnamed project with details forthcoming.

There’s a joke in here somewhere about doubling your Robo pleasure, but I honestly haven’t seen a Doublemint Gum commercial in years and Robo deserves better. Still, two Robo shorts seems like a pretty cool deal.

Keep it at CA for more details as they develop.
