A Jealous Robin Heads To Bludhaven In ‘Nightwing’ #16 [Exclusive Preview]
Dick Grayson, the former Robin and occasional Batman currently known as Nightwing, has a lot of fans on social media. And what's interesting is that this turns out to be just as true in the DC Universe as it is in our world.
In Nightwing #16, by Tim Seeley and Javier Fernandez, current Robin Damian Wayne discovers Nightwing's online popularity, and he's not thrilled about it. What really gets under Damian's skin is the assumption that Nightwing will eventually take the mantle of Batman for good. He also doesn't seem to love seeing Dick referred to with the hashtags #TheOriginalRobin and #BestRobin.
Of Mysteries And Martians: The Best Silver Age Sci-Fi Covers Ever
While the Golden Age established comics as a medium, the Silver Age was when comic book art really came into its own. And it's worth noting that comics' Silver Age corresponded with a wider cultural fascination with science fiction. The actual Space Race was in full swing, and everybody was thinking about rocket ships, alien monsters, and the wonders of science.
This gallery collects some of the best sci-fi comic book covers of the Silver Age, featuring strange invaders, curious tech, and multiple threats to life as we know it.

Cast Party: Who Should Star In An ‘Empowered’ Movie? [Love & Sex Week]
This week, since we're focusing on Love and Sex across the site, I thought it would be fun to cast Adam Warren's Empowered, a highly sexualized manga-influenced superhero comedy. The book's title character is a young superhero who gets her powers from an unbelievably skintight costume that has a tendency to get ripped up in battle, which often leads to her getting tied up, since she's powerless until the suit regenerates. Alongside her boyfriend, a former henchman known as Thug Boy, and her best friend Ninjette, she looks for her place in an absurd superhero world.
Artists Pay Homage To A Fallen Friend With ‘The Mike Wieringo Tellos Tribute’
When comics artist Mike Wieringo died suddenly in 2007, the industry lost an extraordinary talent and a man who was well loved by many. While best known for his work on The Flash and Fantastic Four with writer Mark Waid, Wieringo also collaborated with writer Todd Dezago on a creator-owned series for Image called Tellos. The fantasy comic starred a young boy named Jarek, and his warrior tiger friend Koj, who shared adventures with a lady pirate, a fox thief, and other vivid characters.
When Wieringo passed away, everyone assumed that we'd seen the last of Tellos. But now, a decade after Wieringo's death, Dezago and a group known as the Secret Friends of Ringo have published a massive two volume graphic novel in tribute to both Tellos and Wieringo.
Sarah Vaughn On ‘Deadman: Dark Mansion’ And Why Queer Ghost Stories Matter [Love & Sex]

Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love is the story of a woman named Berenice who faces a ghostly mystery even as she deals with her tumultuous love life, caught between her boyfriend and her nonbinary best friend. ComicsAlliance talked with Vaughn about the origins of the book, the blending of genres, and the importance of its queer lead characters.
