Sisters Kelly Matthews and Nichole Matthews, known online by their collective pen name Kickingshoes, have created a series of erotic stories over the past two years for the subscription-based webcomic publisher Slipshine. Their webcomics focus on, as they put it, "monsters... and the people who love them" --- and they've certainly found an audience of people who love them! The pair have now set up a Kickstarter campaign to bring the stories to print under the title Creature Feature. They've already met their target of $7,000, and are now setting their sights on a series of stretch goals. Back Pages caught up with the artists to learn how they first came up with Creature Feature, how the webcomics format has aided them with their stories, and what readers can expect from the print edition.

Noel Arthur Heimpel's queer urban fantasy webcomic Ignition Zero began way back in 2011, and after five years of drama, romance and supernatural mystery, the epic story finally came to a conclusion this year. Now, to send the series off in a big way, Heimpel is collecting the third and final volume in a softcover edition, and has launched a Kickstarter to help fund the printing.

What do you do when the sky is falling and all hope seems lost? You call your representatives. But what do you do when the sky is falling and you live in the webcomic world of Rising Sand? You steal from bandits, amass vast quantities of material wealth, and beat the gastric juices out of a nomad with your mecha-templar suit, that's what. In the chaotic and complex world of Erj, anything goes. ComicsAlliance spoke with Rising Sand creators Ty Dunitz and Jenn Lee to discuss costume design, transforming a tabletop game into a webcomic, and what to do when the sun starts falling out of the sky.

On the evening of December 5, children across the world will set out their shoes hoping that on the morning of December 6, they will awake to find them full of treats from Saint Nicholas. But in many parts of Europe, Saint Nicholas Eve is also known as Krampusnacht, a night when Saint Nicholas's wild companion, the Krampus, roams the street looking to punish the wicked. And so in the spirit of previous holiday comics such as The Klaubauf's Wager, Tio de Nadal, and The Baker's Dozen, we at Comics Alliance are happy to present a brand new original comic by Benito Cereno and Chuck Knigge; a surprisingly historical tale of Krampusnacht.

The world of Imago is rendered in clean lines, subtle patterns, and a muted palette. It acts as home to mysterious mechanical golems, emotive wildlife, spiraling trees, and a mask-adorned tribe of curious figures. Tyrel Pinnegar, the series creator, spoke to ComicsAlliance about Imago's enigmatic and intriguing story, the inspirations behind it, and the battle wounds incurred during the artistic process.
