Comics That Never Were: ‘Delinquent Jimmy Olsen’

Artist Brendan McCarthy shares a pitch he made to DC Comics for a miniseries called "Delinquent Jimmy Olsen":

The Reverse-Flash, Professor Zoom... unleashes a terrible reverse-Bizarro plague. Superman is imprisoned in a purple-kryptonite cage. As society crumbles, Superman's pal, Jimmy Olsen, finds that he and a few others are immune to the contagion. They are outlaws in a lawless, bizarro world. It is up to these delinquents to save our lives.

Every week, I walk down aisle in my comic shop and wonder how why so many of the books I see got published. Why not you, "Delinquent Jimmy Olsen"? Why not you?
