Daniel Irizarri Balances Raillery and Reverence in Colorful Superhero Illustrations [Art]

Demonstrating a keen affection for futuristic landscapes, urban fashion and superheroes, Puerto Rico based artist Daniel Irizarri composes natural figures rendered in warm colors even when he’s being satirical. Irizarri’s digitally painted a number of striking portraits of Superman, Batman and others, with more humorous pieces like a lovingly illustrated “Hipsters for Hire” parody cover and a depiction of Squirrel Girl chomping down on Mr. Peanut thrown into the mix to keep his social media feeds lively.
