The hit first person-shooter, Halo, is returning to comics later this year in a brand new anthology from Dark Horse ComicsHalo: Tales From Slipspace. The collection brings together a host of the best creators from comics and Halo’s own 343 Industries to tell new stories set in the Halo universe.

The anthology features stories from Jonathan Wayshak, Eric Nguyen, Alex Irvine, Kody Chamberlain, Dave Crosland, John Jackson Miller, Jonathan Goff, Simon Roy, and Duffy Boudreau, as well as 343’s Franchise Creative Director Frank O’Connor and Franchise Producer Tyler Jeffers.

The first Halo graphic novel was curated by original creative studio Bungie, and was published through Marvel, with an all-star creative team including Simon Bisley and Moebius. This led to a limited series by Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev, which was followed by several series over the next four years by Peter David, Brian Reed and Phil Noto, among others.

Dark Horse acquired the license in 2013, and published the three issue miniseries Halo: Initiation, which was followed up by the twelve issue Halo: Escalation, which was so successful it was expanded to twenty-four issues. Tales From Slipspace will be the first Halo comics in two years, and if it follows in the same fashion as the previous Dark Horse Halo comics, it will be in continuity with the main game series.

Later this month, Dark Horse republishes Marvel’s Halo: Fall of Reach. Halo: Tales From Slipspace will be in stores October 12.
