News has come out that Jason Momoa, famed for his role as Khal Drogo on 'Game of Thrones,' will be playing Aquaman in 'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.'

According to a report by Drew McWeeny on HitFix, Momoa will be set to play Arthur Curry, otherwise known as Aquaman, king of Atlantis. Now, this is meant to be taken as a rumor since Warner Bros. hasn't made any official announcements regarding this casting yet, but McWeeny has proven to be a reliable journalist.

There's also no word on what kind of role Aquaman will play in 'Batman vs. Superman,' but it will reportedly be a large one in the movie in order to lead up to the 'Justice League' film.

HitFix also states that Zack Snyder "has already finalized his designs for the character so shooting can take place soon," so we can expect to see more news about Momoa's portrayal of Aquaman in the near future.

'Batman vs. Superman' will hit theaters in 2016. Check out more of DC's movie plans here.
