No one does cosmic quite like Jim Starlin.

Since breaking into comics in the early 1970s, the longtime writer and artist has done much of his most memorable work creating space opera tales, from his Cosmic Odyssey miniseries for DC to his celebrated (and soon to be republished) run of Adam Warlock tales for Marvel. Now the comic veteran is returning to his most famous creation, as Marvel has announced Thanos: The Infinity Revelation, a new graphic novel written and illustrated by Starlin. This new book represents Starlin's first Thanos story in nearly a decade.

The story, like nearly all of Starlin's Thanos work, will feature the character on a quest, this time with Adam Warlock at his side, as the two confront both the Silver Surfer and the Annihilators. “Thanos and Adam Warlock team up to deal with a universe imperiling event," said Starlin, in a statement released by the publisher. "Big changes are coming to everything and the Titan appears to be at the heart of this astral metamorphosis. The story concludes with a major change in Thanos' status within the Marvel Universe, turning him into a greater threat than ever before."

From the preview pages below, you can see the story will also feature the Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as cosmic beings Infinity, Eternity and the Living Tribunal.

Thanos: The Infinity Revelation goes on sale in April.
