Marc Brown's happen'n aardvark with the reggae-tinged theme song has met his share of anthropomorphic animalized guest celebrities over the years, but Neil Gaiman may be the first one comic book fans intentionally tune in for. As reported by Wired, Gaiman will appear in an upcoming episode of PBS' "Arthur" animated series, looking cat-ified to the max.Set to premiere on October 25, the episode "Falafelosophy," will see Gaiman visiting Arthur's town of Elwood, where he inspires one of Arthur's female pals (the bookwormy Sue Ellen) to create a graphic novel. The second story in the episode, "Tales of the Grotesquely Grim Bunny, will also center around comics with a story about new inventory in Elwood's comic shop. Is it too much to hope Arthur takes up reading Vertigo titles?

For everyone's sake I hope Gaiman, Arthur and all his friends can learn to work and play and get along with each 'udda.
