Parting Shot: Andy MacDonald’s ‘The Breakfastables': Breakfast Today, Legends Forever

Artist Andy MacDonald’s ‘The Breakfastables’ — which features Cap’n Crunch, Toucan Sam, Tony the Tiger, and other breakfast cereal mascots standing in for your favorite over-the-hill 80s action stars in The Expendables — hardly requires description, as it is manifestly awesome. Instead, I recommend you just check out the full image after the cut.

There is so much to love about this. Every character is fantastic, but my favorite is either Tony, who is somehow instantly recognizable as Terry Crews, or Sonny, because his eyes honestly scare the s**t out of me.

MacDonald, whose art we’ve featured in the past, has previously worked on NYC Mech from Image Comics. Zoo, the newest graphic novel from writer James Patterson, is drawn by MacDonald and will be in stores this November. For more of his work, check out his blog.
