The Hero Initiative is pleased to announce that Atlanta Comics Expo will be holding a sketch jam to benefit The Hero Initiative at their convention this weekend. The jam will take place Saturday evening, April 21, 2007 at 9 pm at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, in conjunction with the inaugural event's Masquerade Ball and Costume Contest.

Participating artists will offer quick pencil or ink sketches to attendees for a flat-fee donation to The Hero Initiative of $20 per sketch. Atlanta Comics Expo will not have supplies available for attendees, so they request that participating attendees provide necessary sketch pads or paper. Generic sketch paper will be on hand in limited quantity only.

"This is a great opportunity for all who attend the convention to interact with fellow fans and creators, while simultaneously enjoying the evening's entertainment and assisting in support of The Hero Initiative. Atlanta Comics Expo is honored to support this very worthy cause, and we thank you in advance for your interest and participation," said ACE Con Promoter Thom Trainor.

"We are really pleased to be able to work with ACE and hope that this will turn into an amazing annual event. We thank all of the talent involved in addition to the con promoters!" commented The Hero Initiative President Jim McLauchlin.

Be sure to also check out The Hero Initiative's booth as well as many artists on the floor including Hero Board Member Dick Giordano who will be collecting donations on our behalf.
