Well that was fast — though not entirely surprising. Captain America: Civil War has been filming for a few months now, and various set photos have confirmed that the film is basically Avengers 2.5, featuring just about every major player in the MCU. One of those characters will be our new Spider-Man, Tom Holland, who is set to make a cameo in the film ahead of his solo Spidey movie.

Though he hasn’t been spotted on set (somehow), the writers of the new Spider-Man solo movie confirm that Holland has already filmed his cameo. In an interview with Vulture about their new film, Vacation (and Chris Hemsworth’s, um, package), John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein revealed that they’re heading over to Marvel this weekend to check out the footage of Holland’s cameo in Captain America: Civil War. Goldstein said they’ve heard “good things,” and adds, “We might even get to look at the Spidey suit, which is exciting.”

We may very well have already gotten a small glimpse at Spider-Man’s new suit via a mysterious Twitter account bearing the name of the Russo brothers — Joe and Anthony Russo, who are directing Civil War. Although Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn tweeted a denial that the account is affiliated with Marvel or the Russos in any way, the director deleted the tweet soon after, further fueling speculation.

It’s unclear just how big Spidey’s cameo is in Civil War, though given the hard work Marvel put into cutting a deal with Sony to collaborate on the future of the character, I imagine we’ll get more than just a quick pop-in.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016, followed by Spider-Man’s new solo film on July 28, 2017.
