Hot on the heels of yesterday's teaser about the Batmobile that's going to be appearing in Man of Steel 2, AKA Batman Vs. Superman, AKA Justice League Prequel: Avengers Made A Billion Dollars So I Guess We're Doing That Now, director Zack Snyder has delivered on his promise by revealing not just more of the car, but, in a surprising twist, Batman himself, as played by Ben Affleck.
As for the Batmobile, well, we still don't get a very good look at it, but considering that Batman himself shows up, I think that's as fair a tradeoff as we can be expecting. And if you were worried that he might not be frowning enough, set your mind at ease. He definitely looks pretty upset for a dude standing next to a rocket car. Maybe he's bummed because everything is under an inch of soot?
Get ready for a younger, thinner, but perhaps less wind-resistant Lex Luthor.
Batman vs. Superman director Zack Snyder has confirmed that noted mop-top Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) will play Superman's nemesis in the new film, quashing rumors that the role would go to Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston or any of the other actors who have been rumored for the role (As CA Senior Editor Andy Khouri noted, maybe someone mistakenly heard "Heisenberg" instead of "Eisenberg"). In another addition, Oscar winner (for the 1990 film Reversal of Fortune) Jeremy Irons will be the Alfred to Ben Affleck's Batman.
If you were thinking that Ben Affleck donning Batman's cape and cowl for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel meant he'd be doing a version of Christian Bale's famous Bat-growl from the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy, think again.
Affleck told Playboy he's going to "redefine Batman in a way that doesn't compete" with Bale and Nolan's version of the character.
The comic book series that kicked off a years-long collaboration between writer Ed Brubaker and artist Sean Phillips is poised for a film adaptation produced by some recognizable names, among them Matt Damon and longtime collaborator Ben "Dardedevil/Batman" Affleck.
The pair will produce a film version of the Wildstorm series Sleeper. No director has been attached yet, but the screenplay will be written by The Shield creator Shawn Ryan and collaborator David Wiener.

Actor Ben Affleck appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night and opened up about being cast as Batman in the upcoming Man of Steel Superman/Batman followup. As one might expect, he had some reservations about taking the role, but he says director Zack Snyder turned him around with a "brilliant" idea for the film.
The Tuesday links are all yours, after the cut.
