Kick off March with Monday link madness.
Good Smile Company
Considering how impressive its Figma and Nendoroid action figures have been over the past several years, I was surprised to hear that Toy Fair 2014 was Good Smile Company's first year at the show with a proper booth. The booth certainly didn't show the toymaker's freshman status, and was full of recent hits like GSC's popular Samus from Metroid Figma and Sonic the Hedgehog Nendoroid, plus a few all new reveals. Get a load of Ghost in the Shell's Major Motoko Kusanagi Figma, The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker Link Nendoroid, a massive titan statue from Attack on Titan, and more after the jump.
Good Smile Company's The Amazing Spider-Man Figma won't be its lone Marvel hero for much longer. This past weekend at Wonder Festival in Japan, the toymaker displayed its painted Iron Man and Thor prototypes, along with an unpainted Captain America, assembling three of the biggest stars from The Avengers movie.

Good Smile Company and Max Factory have announced their plans to release Figma versions of Attack on Titan's most famous giant-slayers Eren, Mikasa and Levi, but what of their more sheepish friend Armin? It seems he too will join the action figure fray later this year, although fans will have to either preorder in Japan at the Winter Wonder Festival figures event on February 9 or through GSC's online shop.
Fans hurting for a fully articulated Luigi action figure since Toy Biz's notable Mario Kart 64 line in circa 1999-2000 can finally snag something arguably even cooler from Good Smile Company in July of 2014. Even as Nintendo's "Year of Luigi" draws to a close, GS has announced a Nendoroid action figure version of Super Mario's taller, higher-jumping brother.

The strongest -- and most deadpan -- soldier from Attack on Titan will get the full range of Figma action figure articulation and accessorizing in 2014. Captain Levi of The Survey Corps Special Operations Squad will join AoT protagonists Eren Jaeger and Mikasa Ackerman sometime around their respective June and July releases to help defend humanity and its last walled stronghold against the scourge of the mysterious man-eating titans. And he'll do looking kinda like Grumpy Cat.
Interested in Good Smile's Nendoroid Colossal Titan, but worried he won't have any humans to engage in mortal combat with? Worry not! Starting today fans can find a new Nendoroid Mikasa Ackerman action figure from Attack on Titan on Japanese preorder sites. Based on Hajime Isayama's ongoing AoT manga and corresponding anime, Mikasa comes packed with with swappable faceplates and arms, plus swords, her Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear and plenty of effect pieces.
