The rollout of official photos of characters from the new Fox series Gotham continues as actor Ben McKenzie tweeted fans' first look at series star Jim Gordon.
While it appeared Donal Logue's Harvey Bullock will have a little more facial hair than the comics version, Gordon will notably have less. That's right: McKenzie won't be rocking Gordon's signature mustache in the role. He honestly looks a little distraught about it, but hey, Batman '66 Gordon didn't have a mustache, did he? And he came out OK. Chin up, fella.
What would the Penguin was a young, skinny bro without a monocle? This guy, apparently; an actor called Robin Lord Taylor. Best known for appearances in After Earth and The Walking Dead, Taylor will portray a new and seemingly deadlier version of the famous villain in Gotham, the forthcoming Fox television series based on the DC Comics characters.
The producers of the new FOX TV series Gotham have made it abundantly clear that the show will focus on Jim Gordon, not Batman, but apparently David Mazouz, the 13-year-old actor who will play Bruce Wayne on the show, didn't get the memo, because a photo from the set shows he's carrying around his own Bat-mask.
Camren Bicondova, the young actress who will play a teenage Selina Kyle on the show, has her own comic accoutrements, apparently. Set photos show her scurrying around the city set with a pair of Catwoman-style goggles on her head. Check out all the images that hit the Internet today (some of which are from a pivotal scene in Bruce Wayne's childhood) after the jump!
When Warner Bros. announced that Terriers and Grounded for Life star Donal Logue had been cast as Harvey Bullock in the new FOX series about a young Jim Gordon, Gotham, some wondered if the famously long-haired and bearded actor could look the part of the iconic character.
The studio released its first official photo of Logue in costume today, and it the costume designers seem to have pulled it off, though he's a little more slick looking than Bullock looks in the comics and the actor's goatee remains. Check out the full image after the jump.
If you remember the Fox series Touch, you'll recall that one of its lead characters was a young man with very special powers who never spoke. The actor who played that role, 14-year-old David Mazouz, has now been cast as Bruce Wayne in Fox's new Gotham TV series. Odds are he'll have a little more to say in this role.
The producers have also cast the teenaged thief Selina Kyle with newcomer Camren Bicondova.

More auspicious casting news from the world of Gotham. Following the well received decision to give Donal Logue the role of dubious Detective Harvey Bullock, Warner Bros. has announced that Jada Pinkett Smith will appear in the series based on the Batman comic books published by DC Comics. Smith will portray a new character called Fish Mooney, who in the series' mythology is meant to be the ruthless boss of the man who Batman fans know will one day become the Penguin.
