There’s no grappling away from the fact FOX Bat-prequel Gotham isn’t every DC fan’s cup of tea, though we can at least credit them with a unique spin on Batman’s history. That spin … may have become a tailspin with Monday’s fall 2015 finale “Worse Than a Crime,” as Ben McKenzie’s Gordon seemingly broke the comic character’s morality for good, but we’ll let the showrunner and McKenzie himself explain.

Well, that didn’t take long. FOX’s Gotham will wrap up its 2015 run with tonight’s “Worse Than a Crime,” setting the stage for some serious Bat-baddies to make their debut next year, but why wait? Our first look at Mr. Freeze has already arrived, cold gun and all, because Gotham has zero chill.

Alright, Batman and Superman fans, listen up. If you haven’t been watching Gotham (or if you’ve been catching up with it on your DVR), FOX has a good reason for you to tune in to the midseason finale on Monday, November 30. A new, exclusive sneak peek at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to air sometime during the episode, and to promote the special event, some of the cast members of the Batman origin series have revealed which side they’re on in the upcoming superhero super-battle.

Late last month, FOX Bat-prequel Gotham made one of its most villainous castings yet, setting Law & Order legend B.D. Wong as iconic Bat-foe Hugo Strange, though it was tough to imagine the Jurassic World baddie in the iconic bald, bearded spectacles look. Now, Wong offers an early look at Gotham’s Hugo Strange, with a suggestion of some unique applications.

Anyone boarding DC’s TV train over the last few months may have been drawn by the superhero syndicate’s streaming options, whether Arrow, The Flash or Gotham’s Netflix presence or beyond. That said, the comic company may opt for some major alterations to its availability, leaving some viewers waiting a year or more for the latest seasons.

The other day, FOX’s Gotham significantly upped its Batman quotient with the announcement of its Mr. Freeze, today doubling down with the addition of a younger Hugo Strange. Law & Order and Jurassic franchise vet B.D. Wong will suit up as the nefarious Strange, and that’s great! It’s also terrible, but great!

FOX’s Gotham has a spotty track record when it comes to introducing major Bat-villains early (well, a spotty track record for everything, really), and the latest is downright cold-hearted. Batman won’t be sending Mr. Freeze to the cooler just yet, but young Bruce may at least cross paths with Victor Fries, as portrayed by House of Cards alum Nathan Darrow.

Whatever your feelings on FOX’s Gotham, few would argue that Robin Taylor’s Penguin proved an early highlight of the show, accented by screen legend Carol Kane as his eccentric mother. Now, the Penguin family lineage grows even odder, as Pee-wee Herman himself, Paul Reubens signs on to play Penguin’s father (again) in Gotham Season 2.
