Just when you think you've seen everything Mezco had to offer --- thanks to visiting with them at Toy Fair just a few weeks ago --- the company goes ahead and sneaks a surprise out into the wild. Though Mezco's One:12 Collective already has quite a packed slate for 2017, it turns out there's still room in the schedule for an all-new Wolverine. Or should we say, an Old Man Logan.

Since it launched, I've made no effort to hide my enthusiasm for Mezco's One:12 Collective. Mezco's been doing a fantastic job bringing characters from all reaches of fandom to collectors in a format we haven't seen done this well in the past. Though it could be argued the One:12 Collective line expanded way too fast from its start, that hasn't stopped collectors from snapping up new releases. Based on what we saw from Mezco at Toy Fair this year, that's unlikely to stop anytime soon heading into 2018.

Ahead of Toy Fair 2017, Mezco held a special event for the media showcasing some of its upcoming products. Due to the weather on the east coast, we were unable to attend, but Mezco didn't want everyone to miss out on the sneak peeks offered at the exclusive event. Shortly after it ended, the toy manufacturer posted a number of teaser photos of some One:12 Collective figures coming in 2017 and beyond. While expected Batman and Wolverine toys were nice to see, it's the likes of Popeye and Doctor Strange that have us itching to get our hands on Mezco's planned products.

Deadpool is a character with one of the most passionate fanbases, and merchandise section of your local comic shop tells us anything, they're a fanbase that loves their Wade Wilson paraphernalia. When it comes to Deadpool toys, figure and statues, there is a wealth of choice but Mezco's put together one of the most detailed Deadpool sculpts you're ever likely to see for its One:12 Collective, and it's available for pre-order right now.

Few Marvel villains inspire dread in the collective hero community the way the Red Skull does nearly every time he resurfaces. As one of the oldest villains in the Marvel Universe, he's been a thorn in not just Captain America's side since World War II, but he's managed to muck things up for the X-Men, the Avengers, and just about any other character that has found themselves standing on the side of the righteous. Now, he'll be bringing that terror to the One:12 Collective over at Mezco.

DC Comics keeps trying to make Deathstroke happen, and after years of attrition, it finally looks like the mercenary is finally getting his due. With a successful comic series in the DC Rebirth era, major appearances in two upcoming DC Cinematic Universe films, and several spots in the television universe, it seems everything is coming up Deathstroke. Well now his fans have one more thing to look forward to in 2017: a One:12 Collective figure from Mezco.

If there's one truth about comic book toys, it's that there's never a shortage of Spider-Man figures in the wild to add to your collection. From mass market figures for adult and kid collectors to bigger, more elaborate pieces, it's hard to find a way to stand out from the crowd in this modern era of Spider-indulgence. Mezco's been working very hard at setting itself apart from the rest of the competition with its One:12 Collective, and its new Spider-Man figure has just the right mix of classic sensibilities with modern design to make it a promising new toy.

Next month, the annual fall gathering of the greatest comic, movie, television and collectible companies --- not to mention hundreds of creators --- will return to New York's Javitz Center for the 2016 New York Comic Con. As follows tradition, there will also be a great deal of exclusive goods at the event. To help you prepare for weekend-long deluge, we've put together this handy list of toys and collectibles that will be at the show, and more importantly, where you'll be able to find them. There's a lot of cool stuff that'll be at the show, and thankfully, it won't be quite as massive a list as there was at San Diego Comic-Con. Still, tracking all of these toys down won't be easy, but with this little collection, the burden on your shoulders might be a bit lighter.

Mezco's One:12 Collective Classic Captain America Exclusive Review
I'm not going to mince words. I love Captain America and I've been adoring Mezco's One:12 Collective since it launched a little over a year ago. Though I haven't been able to pick up every single figure released so far, I've been carefully biding my time for releases that just cannot be missed. Judge Dredd was cool, but not a character I absolutely needed in this format. The same goes for the Star Trek figures and the Batman V Superman entries so far. They've all been equally well-made, it's just that investing in figures like these on a writer's budget means you have to be particular. When Captain America was announced, all logic and reasoning went out the window. I actually held off on ordering the standard version Mezco offered --- which was based on a more current Marvel Now! incarnation --- hoping to get one of the variants shown off at Toy Fair earlier this year. Classic, wing-ear Captain America spoke to the part of me that's been admiring Steve Rogers since I was a kid. Unfortunately for my wallet, this Classic Captain America was Mezco's 2016 Convention exclusive (it was available at San Diego Comic-Con and will likely be at New York Comic Con, too). Still, I knew it had to be mine. From the clever collector's tin, to the wonderful exclusive packaging, to the incredible figure, I don't regret this addition pushing my expenditures to the limit one bit.

Ah yes, it's time once again to be regaled by the magnificence that is Mezco's One:12 Collective. If you thought the Toy Fair showings were eye opening, then San Diego Comic-Con's reveals may well just blow. your. mind. I don't know quite how Mezco does it. One day, out of the blue, they have a cool mixed-media one-twelfth scale figure of Batman made as a special piece. The next, Mezco is blowing down the doors of what you thought was possible at this scale, and dropping some seriously amazing Marvel, DC, and television and movie characters in the One:12 brand. It's probably the fastest growing specialty figure line, and while that's a double-edged sword for collectors, the positives of getting the bossest Darkseid figure ever far outweigh the negatives.
