Thor The Dark World
After selecting the best sci-fi movies of the last 25 years and the best comedies of the last 25 years, ScreenCrush decided the only logical way to wrap up the #CountdownToUltron and Avengers 2 was to choose the best superhero movies of the last 25 years as well. Initially, this was just supposed to be a brief essay. But on an innocent field trip to the world’s most advanced genetics lab, this blog post was bitten by a radioactive list and transformed into the gargantuan piece you see before you. On that day, we all learned a valuable lesson: That with great power must come great listicles.
Without a great adversary, what good is a superhero? Without someone to punch in the face, Batman would just be some rich schmuck driving around in a weird-looking tank. Without someone on the receiving end of his shield, Captain America would just hang out at the V.F.W. all day. So let’s celebrate the villains. Let’s bring on the bad guys and give them their moment in the sun. With Avengers: Age of Ultron introducing another memorable baddie in the form of James Spader’s titular metallic menace, let’s take some time to run down the 10 greatest superhero movie villains of all time.
Every movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe contains at least a couple Easter eggs (along with a cameo from famous Marvel writer Stan Lee). They’re there — if you know where to look and what to look for (it helps to have spent a lifetime reading comic books and books about comic books and watching television shows based on comic books and you get the idea). For those of you still acclimating yourself to the magical world of Marvel — and for those Marvel zombies who just want to make sure they caught everything — we’ve compiled this extensive gallery of the best and geekiest Marvel Easter eggs so far.

Thor: The Dark World arrives on Blu-ray (and every other form of home video) next week, but for hardcore Marvel movie fans the hook isn't just getting access to Asgard on-demand, it's the all-new All Hail the King short the release includes starring Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin/Trevor. In anticipation of the universe-expanding material, Marvel Studios has released one more clip of Kingsley depicting Trevor during his post Iron Man 3 stay in prison. You can check it out after the cut.
Wednesday's links await, after the jump.
If Tumblr was a person, they'd be flipping their lid right now.
If you caught Thor: The Dark World in theaters a few months back, you know there's a scene in which Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, briefly transforms into Chris Evans' Captain America. It's a funny scene.
For filmmaking purposes we're not entirely privy to, other than maybe Hiddleston just wanted to wear a Captain America costume, the scene was originally shot with Loki's actor rather than Steve Rogers'. So get ready, Tumblr. You're about to see some magic.
Outside of one Samuel L. Jackson appearance as Nick Fury back in the TV show's second episode and Cobie Smulders popping up as Maria Hill, fans of Marvel's movie characters haven't seen a lot of cameos on ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Good news for Tom Hiddleston fans: Hot Toys has announced a 1/6 scale collectible figure of Loki from Thor: The Dark World in all its Hiddleston-y glory. As usual, the likeness and clothing looks spot-on -- like it was 3D printed by Dwarven blacksmiths (that's how they do it on movie Asgard, right?). This is the second version of the character from Hot Toys following a version from The Avengers movie, which has long since been in short supply or outright sold out.
