The Sentinels Attack in This Opening Battle from ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ [Video]

The 2014 MTV Movie Awards featured a look at the opening battle against the Sentinels in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past.’

It’s only one minute long, but the video’s already got our hearts pounding, making May 23 seem that much further away. In the video, we see a group of mutants comprised of Shadowcat, Colossus, Iceman, Bishop, Blink and others as they prepare to defend themselves from an onslaught of Sentinels.

Several powers are showcased, such as Blink’s portals, Iceman’s cool (no pun, maybe), ice-surfing, Shadowcat’s phasing and Bishop’s energy absorption. Though not too much action happens onscreen, we can only imagination the kind of mutant-powered awesomeness ensues after the clip ends.

We’ll have to wait until May 23 to find out what happens shortly thereafter in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past,’ but hopefully more clips like this are released to sate us until then.
