The Walking Dead hasn’t had much time for the major Saviors in its first two 2017 episodes, but that all changes with next Sunday’s “Hostiles and Calamities.” Not only are Dwight and the others finally catching up with Daryl’s escape, but Negan and his newest hostage are officially inbound.

AMC released a first official clip from the third Season 7B episode, picking up with Dwight and the Saviors discovery of Fat Joey’s body. Of course, Dwight is the first to put together that Daryl has likely escaped; unfortunate timing given Negan’s immediate return with new hostage Eugene in tow.

In the meantime, so reads the “Hostiles and Calamities” synopsis:

An Alexandrian discovers they must navigate the mysterious, confusing and terrifying world within the Saviors’ compound.

We’ll presume said Alexandrian to be Eugene, and it’s of interest that the clip reveals part of the episode retreading some of the ground we’ve already seen this year. Presumably, we’ll actually see Negan make the radio announcement of Fat Joey’s death that we heard in last week’s premiere, to say nothing of a few other opportunities to interact with the prior episodes.

In the meantime, check out the clip above, read our review of Sunday’s “New Best Friends,” and stay tuned for more on the back half of The Walking Dead Season 7.
