It's funny, the connections a Fraggle can trigger. Just last night as I sat down catch up on some sci-fi drama "Fringe" style, a few pieces of info from some of my favorite ComicsAlliance posts collided, resulting in an epiphany of sorts: Wash of "Firefly" and "Serenity" looks just like Wembley Fraggle.

Somewhere between our coverage of Dark Horse's "Serenity: Float Out," posting Mike Russel's hilarious fan comic and enjoying our own Chris Sims and David Uzumeri's Archaia Comics-inspired discussion of "Fraggle Rock," squirmed out one of the great truths of our time. Now, I'm not saying Alan Tudyk has a huge foamy nose or a tail, but Hoban "Wash" Washburne certainly shares a few superficial characteristics with the famous eye-rolling Fraggle. From his full-bodied blonde mane to a shared fashion sense, the fictional man and Muppet have enough in common to merit some kind of (all-ages) fan fiction.

Upon Tweeting my realization last night, comic book historian and friend of CA Alan Kistler speculated that "Firefly" could be a sideways reality of "Fraggle Rock." I, for one, would love Walter Bishop to confirm this notion at a later date.
