In just over a decade, Boom Studios has established itself as one of the most important publishers in comics, and key to its success is the all-ages Kaboom imprint, headed up by editor Shannon Watters. A former Tokyopop copy editor and assistant editor on titles like Irredeemable and Elric, Watters has been a part of Boom from the ground up, and even with licenses for some of the biggest properties on the planet, Watters and the creators under her have consistently traced their own path, to the delight and benefit of critics and readers.

If you're on the internet, there's no doubt you've seen KC Green's instantly memetic cartoon strip where a dog in a bowler hat sips coffee as his kitchen burns down around him. As the flames lap at his feet, he utters only three words; "This is fine." The two panels from a longer strip have been shared likely millions of times at this point, often without attribution to Green or his webcomic Gunshow, but as of late there's been a renewed push for recognition. Green has launched a Kickstarter for a plush doll of the "This is fine" dog, which comes complete with a hat, coffee mug, and that trademark blank stare that we all know and love (and feel, deep in our souls). KC Green has also debuted a sequel to the original strip, addressing the current state of global affairs.

KC Green’s Graveyard Quest is the tale of an odd little man who works as a graveyard and keeps his mother’s remains in a box in his shack. His father was the gravedigger before him, and his spirit haunts the graveyard, berating his son for his perceived weaknesses. When The Gravedigger wakes up one morning to find his father has absconded with his mother’s remains, he finds the resolve within himself to chase his father through the underworld and into Hell to bring his mother back. Originally published as a webcomic in 2013, Graveyard Quest drew wide praise and has been likened to a modern day Dante’s Inferno. The comic balances wacky situations, Curb Your Enthusiasm style misunderstandings and very heavy emotional moments, and is now coming to print courtesy of Oni Press on March 23. Ahead of the collected edition’s release, ComicsAlliance spoke to KC Green about Graveyard Quest, father issues and the inherent differences that come with stories published as webcomics.

Back is a supernatural/western webcomic by Anthony Clark of Nedroid Picture Diary and KC Green of Gunshow. Together, these cartoonists have created an eerie world with a lot of secrets and unanswered questions.

Wednesdays have been the focal point of the comics calendar for as long as I've been reading them, but recently there's been a new reason to look forward to the middle of the week: Back, a webcomic that sees Anthony Clark (Nedroid) and KC Green (Gunshow) steadily weaving a bizarre and often hilarious tale of resurrection, prophecy, and the occasional Garfield phone. When it was announced, I predicted that Green and Clark coming together would create a project that would send all other webcomics fleeing in terror of their union, and while that might have been overselling it just a bit, I don't think it was far off in terms of just how good this thing is. Now that we're about 26 pages in, it's safe to say that if you're not reading Back, you really need to be.

Y'all are familiar with the concept of Bundles, right? If you're not, it's pretty simple: A bunch of stuff -- video games, comics, ebooks, that sort of thing -- is put together and and sold as a pay-what-you-want bundle, with additional content available if you meet a certain minimum. It's a pretty great way to check out new stuff along with items you've been curious about without spending a lot of money, while simultaneously supporting independent creators. For the next six days, Storybundle.com has a set of pretty amazing webcomics-related content that you can snag for whatever you want to pay. Put together by The Devastator, the quarterly comedy magazine, the bundle includes content from Gunshow creator KC Green, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal's Zach Weiner, Tales to Suffice's Kenny Kiel, and more.

If you were going to pick two titans of webcomics to team up and create something amazing, you could do a heck of a lot worse than to try pairing Gunshow's KC Green with Nedroid's Anthony Clark. Scientists have long theorized that if those two ever teamed up, they'd probably end up making something truly incredible. Well, scientists, theorize no more. Today, Green announced that he and Clark are in fact teaming up to launch a webcomic called Back that begins on June 18, with Green writing, Clark drawing, and character designs by both creators.

With the exception of a few episodes, Regular Show adventures usually wrap within a single installment. From the looks of July's Regular Show #4, however, writer K.C. Green and artist Allison Strejlau are set to take readers on a four-issue adventure -- nay -- quest...

I think it's safe to say that all of us here at ComicsAlliance are pretty excited about Boom Studios' Regular Show comic, slated to launch next month with the creative team of K.C. Green and Allison Strejlau. The only problem is that, well, we don't really want to wait until April to actually get our hands on it...
