Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has kept relatively quiet since Comic-Con 2015, but with production on Season 3 finally in full swing, Coulson’s team is already sharpening up. Not only has a menacing new agent been added to the ranks, but so too has Skye Daisy Johnson undergone something of a trim for Season 3.

First and foremost, Deadline reports that Bates Motel alum Andrew Howard has joined Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 for a “major recurring role” as Banks, an authoritative and intimidating agent. Does that make him an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Real S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson’s “Caterpillars,” or Hydra, perhaps? You tell us!

Howard won’t be the only unfamiliar sight among the cast however, as series star Chloe Bennet recently debuted some shorter locks to help cement her character’s transition from Skye to Daisy Johnson, albeit with a less extreme cut.

Premiering September 29, we know of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 that series regulars Adrianne Palicki (Mockingbird) and Nick Blood (Lance Hunter) will return, ABC having abandoned plans for a spinoff centered around the pair, while Henry Simmons (Mack) and Luke Mitchell (Lincoln) have both been upgraded to series regular. The series will presumably also help build up to Captain America: Civil War, while installing its own version of Marvel’s Secret Warriors.

We’re also awaiting cast news on the Inhuman Lash, but how does Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 look to be shaping up thus far?
