Gallery: Best Deadpool Cosplay Ever
We've collected images of some of the best Deadpool cosplayers around from the past few years, showcasing their excellent creations. They're sure to impress Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld, who created old Wade Wilson back in 1991 in New Mutants #98. One of them even has his own yellow word balloons! I bet Ryan Reynolds won't have that!
Nostalgia Overload: ‘Star Wars’ Movies Get Little Golden Book Adaptations
Odds are you enjoy, or are at least familiar with, the Star Wars series of films. And there's a good chance you read Little Golden Books (or had them read to you) when you were a youngster. You know the ones: The colorfully illustrated books with a signature golden spin, that retell classic stories.
Since you almost definitely know both of those things, someone put them together, and the final presentation is pretty cool. That's right: The classic (and also the newer) Star Wars films are being adapted into Little Golden Books so even the smallest of kids can get up to speed with Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Darth Vader and the Death Star.
Top Cow Announces Three New Titles, Kickstarter Project and Editorial Appointments
At its panel at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, Top Cow unveiled three new titles, Blood Stain, Romulus and Symmetry, that touch on the sci-fi and conspiracy genres from creators Linda Sejic, Bryan Hill and Nelson Blake, and Matt Hawkins and Raff Ienco.
The publisher also announced a Kickstarter to fund a comic book that coincides with a multimedia project about a "human-reaper hybrid" called September Mourning. The book is from a concept by Emily Lazar and Marc Silvestri, and will be written by Mariah McCourt with art by Silvestri and Summeye Kesgin.
Kelly and McGuinness Return To Deadpool With ‘Spider-Man/Deadpool’ #1 This Fall
It's been 18 years (that's right, 18 years) since Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness first teamed up on Deadpool back in 1997. A lot (and I mean a lot) of Deadpool comics have been published since then, but for many fans who read that original run, Kelly and McGuinness are still the definitive Deadpool team.
Those fans can now officially rejoice: Marvel announced at San Diego Comic-Con on Sunday that Kelly and McGuinness are teaming up again to pair Deadpool with another Marvel favorite, Spider-Man, in this fall's Spider-Man/Deadpool.
Tim Seeley and Logan Faerber Focus On Blade’s Daughter In New Series
You know Blade, right? He's the Daywalker, a vampire hunter with some vampiric abilities of his own. Grew up in a brothel. Hunted Dracula. Hung out with Dr. Strange a lot. Well, rethink all that, because Marvel has announced a new series at San Diego Comic-Con from writer Tim Seeley and artist Logan Faerber, which presents Eric Brooks in a whole new way: through his daughter.
That's right, Blade has a daughter, and she'll be a big part of the focus of the new series, as she and her dad will apparently go on some macabre adventures together.
She Has A New Hat: North, Henderson and Moss Talk the New ‘Unbeatable Squirrel Girl’ #1 [Exclusive]
It feels like just a few short months ago that Marvel's series Unbeatable Squirrel Girl by writer Ryan North and artist Erica Henderson launched to near-universal acclaim and widespread popularity. That's because it was just a few months ago. It launched in January.
But hey, guess what? As revealed on Sunday at the Women of Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the series is starting anew in October! But don't worry; it'll look much the same as it did. The creative team will still be there, editor Wil Moss will still be steering the ship, and all your favorite characters will stick around!
So what's changing, besides Squirrel Girl now being a card-carrying member of the Avengers? We talked to North, Henderson and Moss to get to the bottom of this relaunch, to ask about some of her future enemies, and to find out how similar Squirrel Girl is to the greatest work of our time, Saved by the Bell.
The Wookiee Wins: Marvel Announces New ‘Chewbacca’ Miniseries
At its Star Wars panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego Friday, Marvel announced that Han Solo's trusty co-pilot and better half will get his very own five-issue miniseries, written by Gerry Duggan (Deadpool) and with art by Phil Noto (Black Widow) starting in October.
‘Agents of Atlas’ Returns in ‘Secret Wars’ Tie-In Set For October
If you thought all the tie-ins to Marvel's Secret Wars event were already underway, think again. There's at least one more miniseries coming this fall, and it's a doozy, because it's none other than the return of the critically acclaimed Agents of Atlas.
ESPN Magazine and Marvel Team Up For A Superhero ‘Body Issue’
If you needed any further proof that Marvel is now fully a part of the Walt Disney Company family, look no further than a new collaboration with ESPN (also a subsidiary of Disney).
A group of Marvel artists --- Alex Maleev, Sara Pichelli, Emanuela Lupacchino, Lenil Francis Yu, Frank Cho, Russell Dauterman, Mike Deodato, Jim Cheung and Greg Land --- have contributed original art of Daredevil, Captain Marvel, Medusa, Luke Cage, She-Hulk, Iron Fist, Iron Man, The Hulk and Ant-Man to a "superhero edition" of ESPN Magazine's famous "Body Issue," an annual celebration of athletic physiques (with lots of pictures of naked people).
Bob Gale Hops Back on the DeLorean With New ‘Back to the Future’ Series from IDW
IDW is going where they don't need roads.
In a press release that is apparently from the future, the publisher announced Wednesday it'll be publishing a new Back to the Future anthology comic starting in October. Subtitled Untold Tales and Alternate Timelines, the series will follow alternate versions of events from the movies, fill in the gaps between them, and offer up prequel stories. (Maybe we'll see Doc Brown's college years!)
