How Pink Spidergirl Inexplicably Became One of YouTube's Biggest Stars
Until last week, I had never heard of Pink Spidergirl. You probably haven't heard about her either. She's not starring in any comics, animated shows or movies. She's not even actually part of Marvel's Spider-Verse, which is a vast and seemingly never-ending source of strange Spider-Man iterations. No, Pink Spidergirl is one of the biggest heroes on YouTube. In fact, she's so popular, there are a number of different channels that use the character, and more than a million videos starring the Pink Spidergirl across YouTube's endless array of ridiculous videos. The videos are strange, fascinating, and incorporate a bewildering amount of licensed characters to tell stories that often make no sense. So how exactly did Pink Spidergirl become such a sensation?

Bizarro Back Issues: The Strange Story Of The Outsiders (1975)
If I were to tell you that I was reading up on the Outsiders, there's a good chance that you'd assume I was talking about the team of misfits that Batman put together when he got fed up with Superman's two-bit Justice League and their cowardly refusal to commit international crimes in the name of justice. Heck, if you really wanted to go obscure with it, you might even suggest that I was going all the way back to 1964 and that time that Alfred was killed off and resurrected as a weird gangster Frankenstein called the Outsider. Both are solid guesses, but both are wrong. No, this week's selection is the other other Outsiders, the presumably heroic gang of weirdos who appeared in exactly one issue of 1st Issue Special, and then drifted off into obscurity before half of them even got an origin.

After a month of anticipation, "Treehouse of Horror" binges, and spooky Twitter names, Halloween is finally upon us. This special day means so much to so many people, and one of the greatest joys it gives us is licensed costumes based on comic book properties. Some of them are incredibly detailed and accurate to the source material, some of them are hilariously bad, and some, somehow, manage to be both. We've rounded up some of the best comics-themed Halloween costumes from this year to provide you with some last minute inspiration for the big night.

Bizarro Back Issues: Beware The Dragon God! (Or... Octopus?)
Every October, I like to scour my own archives for the spookiest back issues available, but this year, one found me. It's like something out of a scary movie --- I went to my barber for a haircut and, mixed in with the regular magazines in the waiting area, they had an issue of The Brave and the Bold. It was one that I'd never read before, a terrifying team-up between Batman and the Spectre where they confront a mad sorcerer who wields the eldritch power of the Dragon God. And when I looked up from reading it, I discovered that the barber shop had closed down... ten years ago this very night!

'Logan' Trailer Gets the 'X-Men' Animated Series Treatment
Last week’s Logan trailer showed a very different vision of Marvel’s favorite mutant, about as far cry from an X-Men movie as we ever expected. If you feel the third Wolverine movie could use a bit more yellow spandex, however, check out this fan mash-up of the Logan trailer with Wolverine’s animated counterparts.
