I am, perhaps unsurprisingly, a huge fan of Kim Newman's Anno Dracula novels. Set in a world that diverges from the original Dracula when Dracula defeats his attackers and goes on to turn Queen Victoria into his thrall and make the formerly secret world of vampires extremely public, the novels chronicle a century shaped by his actions, incorporating pieces of pop culture that range from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde to Blacula to The Rockford Files. It's great stuff that's making the transition to comics courtesy of Titan, and just in case I needed another reason to get excited about that as a fan of the books, the latest preview gives us a first glimpse at our cast, and the dramatic return (technically the "preturn") of the Bloody Red Baron!

Fans have been clamoring for America Chavez to get her own solo series for two years or more, and she finally gets her due with America #1, debuting March 1 from writer Gabby Rivera and artist Joe Quinones.

Assassin's Creed as a franchise is built to not stay in the same place too long, and as a result over the course of many games the series has featured some of the most memorable protagonists in video game history. Next month, Ian Edginton and Valeria Favoccia are teaming up to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the franchise in Assassin's Creed: Reflections, and Titan has provided us with the first lettered page from the anthology series, which stars fan-favorite characters from ten years' worth of games.

As another Steven Bomb ends, we once again enter that dark purgatory in between regular Steven Universe episodes. However, thanks to Kaboom's new Steven Universe ongoing by Melanie Gillman and Katy Farina, we don't have to go entirely Steven-less, as the series launches next week with a story all about Steven, Peridot and Lapis Lazuli discovering an injured baby bird while none of the other, more responsible Crystal Gems are around.

Sarah Vaughn, Lan Medina and Jose Villarrubia's Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love --- while not officially a DC Rebirth title --- has been one of the most exciting titles released in the Rebirth era, mixing gothic horror, romance, and superheroes in a way the character was always crying out for. The third and final issue is out next week, and DC has provided us with an exclusive extended preview of what is sure to be a somber and emotional finale.

We're pretty high on comics about cooking and baking here at ComicsAlliance, which means Sam Sykes, Selina Espiritu and Sarah Stern's Brave Chef Brianna is one of our most anticipated new series of the year. Ahead of its release in March, Boom Studios has provided us with an exclusive first look at colored pages from the first issue, as well as the first-ever chalkboard back cover in comics!

An ancient struggle is coming to a head in Assassin's Creed: Uprising #1, written by Dan Watters and Alex Paknadel with art by José Holder. This is the beginning of a new series, set in the present day and starring Charlotte de la Cruz, the assassin who was previously featured in Titan's recently-ended Assassin's Creed series. Faith's got a lot of problems these days. That shouldn't be too surprising considering that we're barreling towards April and the launch of "Faithless," a new story that reunites all of her arch-villains into a super-team dedicated to her destruction, but before we get to that, she's going to have to get through some other horrors. And by that, I mean that she's had a dose of a freaky ghost. That's only part of the problem, though. When the literal spectres of her past start to haunt her, Faith begins to doubt her own place in the world. Check out a preview of next week's issue below and see if maybe --- just maybe --- this might connect to the Faith Revenge Squad's impending debut!

I'm not sure that there's anyone out there who needs to be sold on picking up Josie and the Pussycats right now, but if you've been on the fence about continuing with it, consider these facts about next week's issue. First, there are hints --- multiple hints --- that the band is going to be going to space, and that it's going to happen sooner rather than later. Second, a scene in a previous issue is accurately referred to as "the emotionally revelatory jet ski chase." And third, well... Melody straight up becomes Sailor Moon in this issue. Okay, so maybe she doesn't become Sailor Moon, but it's close enough for me! Two great sci-fi properties come together next week with Planet of the Apes/Green Lantern #1. Written by Justin Jordan from a story by Robbie Thompson, with art by Barnaby Bagenda, this is the beginning of a six-issue miniseries that connects character from the Planet of the Apes movies to DC's Green Lantern mythology.
