In the comic-books, she’s been known by several names, including Her, Paragon, Kismet and Ayesha — a supreme being created by a team of scientists who call themselves the Enclave. In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, her name is Ayesha, a formidable new villain played by Elizabeth Debicki. We haven’t gotten a peek at her just yet, but thanks to a promo image for an upcoming line of Funko toys, we now have a slight idea of what Debicki’s MCU villain looks like.

Few Marvel villains inspire dread in the collective hero community the way the Red Skull does nearly every time he resurfaces. As one of the oldest villains in the Marvel Universe, he's been a thorn in not just Captain America's side since World War II, but he's managed to muck things up for the X-Men, the Avengers, and just about any other character that has found themselves standing on the side of the righteous. Now, he'll be bringing that terror to the One:12 Collective over at Mezco.

No matter where you stand on the quality of Rocksteady Studios' Batman: Arkham video games, the developer's version of Gotham was undeniably stylish. The mixture of real-world and fantastical elements to craft a Gotham and Batman that were familiar and new all at once was a delicate balance to strike. The aesthetic really hit its stride in the final installment, Arkham Knight, which ramped everything up to eleven including the Bat-suit. Now, Hot Toys has rendered its interpretation of Rocksteady's Batman, and it's a sight to behold.

Marvel Studios's latest venture, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is only months away, and that means everyone's favorite ubiquitous collectible company Funko is ready to just go overload with its output once again. Whether it's key rings, blind bags or the reliable Funko Pop vinyl itself, there's something for all sorts of fans, so long as you're a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy. We can't stress that last point enough.

Here's the thing: If you ask someone who their favorite GI Joe is, what you're really asking is who their second-favorite Joe is after Snake Eyes. I'm sorry, but I don't care how much you like Gung Ho or Shipwreck or even Destro, those dudes did not lay siege to the Silent Castle, and that's pretty much all that matters. The folks at Prime 1 Studios know what I'm talking about, which is why they chose the Joe team's silent ninja for a brand-new statue that stands over two feet tall and comes complete with interchangeable hands so that you can put him in the classic Uzi-and-Katana state that pretty much defined action entertainment in the '80s.

As a rallying cry, you would be hard-pressed to do better than "Avengers Assemble!" It's nearly perfect, and even when you know it's coming in a comic story, those two words still manage to make you sit up straight. Using the signature call as an inspiration point for its latest statue series, Sideshow Collectibles is bringing together a quartet of the original Avengers. Things kicked off with Iron Man, but now Captain America too has joined the fight.

I've never had a particular affinity for Carnage as a character. However, I have always enjoyed his design. The way he seemed like a much more raw version of Venom, and that stark red and black color scheme made him that much more of demented take on Spider-Man. The gaping maw and tendrils exploding in every direction always caught my eye, and truly presented a terrifying presence. Sideshow's captured all of that grotesque design and more with its Carnage Premium Format Figure, making it a shocking tribute to Spider-Man's most unpredictable foe.

The DC Collectibles Designer Series has been home figures based on the art of some of the publishing arm's biggest stars like Darwyn Cooke, Amanda Conner and Greg Capullo. There have been a number of statues that have featured the stylings of those artists, and many more, but only a select few have been given the privilege of having their own individual action figure lines. Lee Bermejo is the latest to join such rarefied air with a Batman and Superman delivered in his gritty style. It's almost a shame the rest of the line was already canceled.

There are several times in my life where I have tried to stop buying action figures, for all the reasons that you'd expect. They're expensive, they take up space, and while I'm not above making Storm Shadow drop a Stone Cold Stunner on Batman while I'm on the phone and need something to do with my hands, it's not like I actually spend enough time playing with them to keep them form just sitting on my desk gathering dust. But every time I try to get out, something brings me back in, and nothing has ever gotten me as hard as the new line of Ninja Superstars figures from Playmates, in which WWE Superstars are combined with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And they are amazing.

DC Comics keeps trying to make Deathstroke happen, and after years of attrition, it finally looks like the mercenary is finally getting his due. With a successful comic series in the DC Rebirth era, major appearances in two upcoming DC Cinematic Universe films, and several spots in the television universe, it seems everything is coming up Deathstroke. Well now his fans have one more thing to look forward to in 2017: a One:12 Collective figure from Mezco.
