Could ‘Brightest Day’ Restore Arthur Curry As Aquaman?

As “Blackest Night” continues to push DC’s collective emotions, the promise of a “Brightest Day” ahead for its heroes is something many fans are taking to heart. After all, there are more than a few folks who could use some redemption. In the spirit of optimism, fans of a certain water-based champion may have much to look forward to this spring.

DC’s The Source has your first look at the cover of “Brightest Day” #2, which could hold a very welcome return for Aquafans. The publisher isn’t leaking any story info, but seeing a brightened version of the long lost king of Atlantis is a boon to readers who’ve missed sea horse riding in recent years.

Writer Geoff Johns characterizes this potential return as a second chance, but notes that “Some second chances work out…some don’t.”

Maybe Mera shouldn’t leave the lighthouse on then?
