David Perillo’s ‘M.A.S.K.’ and ‘Ghostbusters’ Pieces Are Slimed With Excellence [Art]

David Perillo, our favorite candidate to design Masters of the Universe characters for an episode of The Powerpuff Girls, also makes some snazzy commissions that look like they're ready for themed vinyl album covers. Faces from ThunderCats, M.A.S.K. and even Gremlins show up in his square-formatted pieces, which showcase his Adult Swim sensibilities and vintage polish.A Venom record actually sounds like a inspired concept-as does a disc of Planet of the Apes songs. Such wonders on Perillo's Montygog's Art-O-Rama! blog appear alongside his sketches and movie posters, which include re-envisioned Big Lebowski and Mystery Science Theater 3000 promotions.

It's just a shame that we don't have a track listing for the songs appearing on an imaginary Ghostbusters album titled, "He Slimed Me!" Whether or not we ultimately see Ghostbusters 3 come out in the next decade, Perillo seems to be on to something here that could work.
