‘DuckTales’ Goes Ongoing in May From Boom! Studios

Scrooge McDuck and his extended family hit comic book shelves like a hurricane last summer in a four-issue story arc of DuckTales adventures in the pages of Uncle Scrooge #392-396. Now, The Disney Afternoon’s most well-off waterfowls are spinning off into their own ongoing from Boom! Studios, beginning in May with DuckTales #1 by written by Warren Spector with art by Miquel Pujol, which we can only imagine will contain not only racecars and lasers, but also aeroplanes. The new DuckTales ongoing joins Boom!’s Darkwing Duck (the original animated series itself a spinoff of DT) and

Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers as three storylines that gained enough steam to roll out monthly. It makes you wonder which other animated series might roll out next…
