Remember last week when a mysterious video presented as a leaked bootleg trailer for a "grownup" take on a live action "Pokémon" film surfaced and filled two generations with equal parts excitement and dread? As assumed by the collective blogosphere, it's finally been confirmed as completely fan-made. What most of us didn't know, however, is that the true version of "Pokémon: Apokélypse" is actually 150 percent (152 percent if you count MissingNo and Mew) pure awesome.Posted by YouTube user Megasteakman (an inevitable dinner guest at Mega Man's table?), the full HD trailer has been verified as everything fans had hoped at Shogun Gamer, making it nothing short of poképerfection. Even the synopsis hits all the right notes.

Celadon City hasn't been the same since the Gyms closed down. Pokémon fighting has gone underground, and the sport has gotten a taste for blood. Ash, Misty, and Brock have been forced deep into the city's seedy underbelly to keep training, but the Pokémon aren't the only ones in danger. Now, Ash must choose to either become a master in the grim world of illegal pokémon fighting, or make a desperate stand to free them all from the criminal grip of Rocket Industries.
