Everyone loves trivia about their favorite animated features and series, but with over 100 years of animation history behind us right now, there’s always some new obscure fact to learn. That’s why ComicsAlliance is going deep into the minutiae of your favorite names in cartoons in this continuing video series. You think you know cartoons? This week we're taking a look at the anime adaptation of everyone's favorite pocket monsters, Pokemon! Shortly following the debut of the massively popular video game in the '90s, an animated Pokemon series began airing internationally and has not stopped since. Despite changing subtitles a few times to reflect a new era of the game, the Pokemon anime has just recently begun its twentieth season, with almost a thousand episodes aired. This video takes a look at the history of the series, from its various inspirations to its spin-offs and feature adaptations.
