The world's most adorable sentient potted tree voiced by Vin Diesel can now be yours. Minus the Vin Diesel and the responsibility of taking care of an actual living plant.

Hot Toys announced the all-new Guardians of the Galaxy Little Groot at Toy Soul this week, and the little ent that could melted our hearts all over again. (Yes, you are correct; Groot is not an ent. He's an alien from Planet X. Just let it go this one time.) Made famous by the post-credit scene of Marvel's blockbuster film, dancing baby Groot shot to the top of the most desired collectible charts not soon after the movie released. Fortunately, plenty of manufacturers were eager to give buyers a wealth of options.

Though the dancing baby Groot has already had more than a few different iterations, this will be the first that's posable. Coming in at a robust 4.75 inches tall, the figure might not seem to be worth the $44.99 price tag, but you're not paying for size; you're paying for the Hot Toys brand name. Hot Toys has a track record for extremely detailed and poseable figures, many of which retail for $200 or more, and many of which are based on existing Marvel Studios properties.

To be fair, the Hot Toys name is fairly synonymous with quality... most of the time. For a more casual Guardians fan, this might be a little pricey. The devout Hot Toys collector probably already has it pre-ordered (I do).

Little Groot will come with three different heads to interchange (stealthy, smiling and laughing), and based on the preview images, his body and arms will be adjustable... to a degree. The itty bitty trunk can be twisted, and his baby branch arms can be bent, which will let you recreate all the great dance moves director James Gunn motion captured himself for the scene in Guardians.

It's worth noting, this is not the same Little Groot that was offered as an exclusive add-on to Hot Toys' Rocket Raccoon and Groot two-pack. That special edition item is a 1/6 scale piece, while this new Little Groot is a 1/4 scale figure. Now it would have been nice to get the Little Groot in a slightly larger size (say 1/2 scale, which would have made it around eight inches tall), but its diminutive stature does make it a bit easier to give Groot a home at the office without raising too many eyebrows.

The Hot Toys Little Groot is due to arrive in January 2015, and you can pre-order yours through Sideshow Collectibles.
