Awesome Manga-Style Drawings of Frankenstein, Dracula and H.P. Lovecraft [Art]
I'm starting to look forward to a new post on Pink Tentacle as much as I look forward to reading my weekly comics, as that site routinely features glimpses of Japanese culture that are either awesome, terrifying or, as is the case today, both.
In its latest entry, Pink Tentacle has posted a gallery of illustrations from Kaibutsu Genso Gashu by artist Tatsuya Morino, who has used a distinctly manga-flavored style to render the classic monsters of Western literature, including Frankenstein's Monster, Count Dracula, and even the the cosmic horrors of H.P. Lovecraft:
-- H.P. Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu
Dracula
For more -- including one listed as being inspired by Wells' "Empire of the Ants" that I'm pretty sure is actually drawing more from THEM! -- check out the gallery at Pink Tentacle!
