Maybe it's just me, but lately it seems that there has been a massive explosion of good tidings when it comes to the realm of DC Comics action figures and collectibles. Today, thankfully, is no different, as a new wave of DC Universe inspired HeroClix are on the way.

Toy News International has the scoop on the return of NECA's DC HeroClix, which comes branded as "DC HeroClix: The Brave and the Bold." Judging by currently available images, these miniatures are more in line with DC Comics than the current "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" animated series, though HeroClix inspired by that show would be tremendously cool.

Details wise, TNI reports that the upcoming line features "55 new superhero and supervillain figures - including over 25 characters that have never before appeared in DC HeroClix."

There is also the promise of classic pairings such as The Flash and Green Lantern, as well as Lex Luthor and Brainiac. Personally, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a Booster Gold and Ted Kord two-pack. That would make me a very happy camper.
