A hero is defined by their villains, and the world of superhero comic books is filled with some of the scariest and silliest bad guys around. Rogues’ Gallery aims to settle the score and determine who some of the biggest bad guys are in comics --- and we need your help to do it!

With Halloween season almost upon us, we want to know who you think is the best Marvel Monster. The category covers not just villains and rampaging beasts, but several heroes and anti-heroes too. We'll leave it up to you to tell us which is the spookiest, scariest one.

There are two distinct categories of Marvel Monsters; the sort of characters you might find in The Legion of Monsters, like Werewolf By Night, N'Kantu The Living Mummy and Manphibian, and the giant monsters created by King of Comics Jack Kirby and his peers. These are the rampaging beasts that mostly pre-date the Heroic Age, before the publisher found its niche with superhero comics. Fin Fang Foom is maybe the best known, but never discount the likes of Goom or Orrgo!

There are also two separate monsters named Giganto, one being an Atlantean whale-type creature, and the other the green monster from the cover of Fantastic Four #1. Personally, I'm partial to the weirder monsters, like Trull The Unhuman, who is a giant digger, or Spragg The Living Hill, who is, well, a living hill.

Let us know who you think gets the top spot as best Marvel Monster below, and we’ll be back in a few weeks with a countdown. You can vote for up to three selections in the poll!
