At long last, Iron Fist punched out rumors that Marvel had scrapped the character’s Defenders role by hiring an official showrunner, though the actual casting of lead character Danny Rand still looms. Movements pushing to cast with an Asian-American actor, rather than the blonde white male of comics have gained significant traction, to the point Marvel reportedly met with multiple Asian actors, but may in fact keep the character white.

We’re still waiting for news on a potential second season of Jessica Jones, but that hasn’t stopped Luke Cage from living his life in Harlem with friends, new and old. Marvel’s Netflix Jessica Jones series added a bit of distinction in titling itself AKA Jessica Jones alongside the addition of Krysten Ritter, but unlike Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel has decided to let simplicity prevail. Periods be damned, the second Defenders series will henceforth be known as Marvel’s Jessica Jones.

Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight has previously spoken of his interest in a second Netflix season, though the Marvel drama has since revealed its renewal plans without DeKnight at the helm. Now, series star Charlie Cox has his own thoughts on where Daredevil Season 2 might go, including Defenders ties, Avengers crossover, and even The Punisher.
