20th Century Fox is finally releasing the Rogue Cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past next month, re-incorporating the scenes featuring Anna Paquin’s Rogue, which director Bryan Singer had to leave on the cutting room floor. Singer previously explained that the Rogue scenes were excised because they were “extraneous,” but that didn’t stop fans from wanting to see the alternate version. Fox has released a clip from the Rogue Cut to give you a little taste of what that version will look like.

Late last year we learned that Fox was planning to release a “Rogue Cut” of X-Men: Days of Future Past, which would include previously deleted footage of Anna Paquin’s Rogue, whose story arc had been removed from the film due to time constraints. If you’re a fan of Rogue, then the planned release of the Rogue Cut is great news. But just how much footage are we talking here? Five minutes? An entire 20 minute chunk? The answer is about 11 minutes. That’s 11 minutes of previously unseen Anna Paquin action!

We also heard that the scenes featuring Rogue would have made for a slightly different viewing experience. Fox planned to release the deleted scenes and there was talk of releasing a “Rogue Cut” with Paquin’s scenes restored to the movie, but they were curiously absent from the DVD/Blu-ray versions of the film. So what happened to that fabled “Rogue Cut” of ‘DOFP’? We finally have an update.
