We've all seen Batman fight the Joker endless times throughout the history of their relationship. From the original comics to the animated series, and from the movies to video games, there's no shortage of interpretations of the ultimate fight between good and evil that is Batman vs. the Joker. Whatever your opinion of those various encounters in the past, all of those fights are hot garbage compared to the latest video from YouTube stop motion animator, Counter656.
Counter656's most recent video pits the SH Figuarts Injustice: Gods Among Us Joker and Batman against one another in a stop motion throwdown for the ages. Taking nearly three weeks and 3500 different pictures, the five minute video incorporates every accessory the figures come with, as well as putting the articulation of each to great use in some excellently choreographed fight sequences. But Counter656 knows that we've all seen Batman vs. the Joker before, too, and isn't content to just let this brawl be another simple one-on-one encounter.
Bandai originally teased the Avengers: Age of Ultron SH Figuarts series with a look at Iron Man MK XLIII, but the rest of the line-up has finally been revealed this week. In addition to the MK XLIII Iron Man, we'll be seeing Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and the all-new Iron Man MK XLV. Oh, and probably an armor you've never heard of called Hankbuster? No, wait. Hulkbuster. Yeah. That's the one.
As the year begins, the deluge of new action figure announcements begins. Though Toy Fair 2015 is mere weeks away, some companies have been racing to be the first to reveal any and all Avengers: Age of Ultron merchandise in development. As has been the case virtually every time a new Avengers line has been announced, Iron Man is the first out the door for the new SH Figuarts figures from Bandai.
When it comes to the holiday gift-giving season, comic book readers are notoriously difficult to shop for. I mean, most of us are down at the shop buying our favorite stuff every single week, so when the time comes for people who like us to get us something we want, well, a lot of times we already have it. That’s why we’re stepping in with a public service, bringing you comics-related items sure to make the season brighter, whether you’re browsing for a gift or just looking for something to drop hints about so that you don’t get stuck with a random assortment of back issues again.
So why not celebrate your inner magical girl with one of the best action figures of the year: The S.H. Figuarts Sailor Moon figure!
Bandai's full S.H. Figuarts line based on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Japanese Super Sentai counterpart Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger was more or less locked-in this past summer at San Diego Comic-Con, but it's nice to see the Bluefin Tamashii Nations booth confirm that MMPR fans will be getting a female version of the Yellow Ranger aka Trini Kwan. The 6" hyper-articulated figure was shown alongside the rest of the team, including the soon-to-be-released Black Ranger and to-be-scheduled Blue Ranger. Figurats prototypes are frequently shown as teasers and occasionally don't make it to market at conventions, but with the team's fully-assembled Power Blaster on display combining all of their trademark weapons, fans can count on being able to get their hands on the full lineup before the end of 2014. You can see all of the current and upcoming Power Rangers S.H. Figuarts toys after the jump.
