Jem and the Holograms: Infinite Takes Both Bands to a New World
Back when the end of Jem and the Holograms was announced, series writer Kelly Thompson promised that something new and very exciting was on the way for everybody's favorite dayglo pop stars. And Friday at Emerald City Comicon we learned just what that is. Launching in June 2017, Jem And The Holograms: Infinite is a bi-weekly event split into two comics, both written by Thompson.

Announced at Emerald City Comicon on Friday, IDW is adding another Hasbro property to their comics lineup in June, with the launch of a Clue comic based on the classic board game. Written by Paul Allor with art by Nelson Dániel, the book is a humorous murder mystery in keeping with the tone of the franchise, but with a new and modernized versions of the classic characters.

Exciting news from Emerald City Comicon in Seattle, as we learn that Shelly Bond is teaming with IDW for a promising new creator-owned imprint called Black Crown, to launch in October 2017. We don't know any of the books or creators yet, but IDW promises we'll learn all about them at San Diego Comic Con in July.

This weekend at Emerald City Comicon, Image is unveiling its upcoming romance comic Sleepless, the story of an enchanted knight who falls in love with the woman he's protecting. We had a quick chat with writer Sarah Vaughn, artist Leila del Duca, and editor Alissa Sallah about the influences that went into the comic's unique setting, and what you can expect from the book.

Boom Studios Arrive At ECCC With Variant Covers And More
This weekend in Seattle is Emerald City Comicon, and Boom Studios will be there with a bunch of cool stuff you won't be able to get anywhere else. My personal favorite is an exclusive variant cover for Coady and the Creepies #1 by the book's writer, Liz Prince, which features the eponymous band climbing on Seattle's famous Fremont Troll statue. The best con-exclusive variants always have a sense of place, but Boom's bringing more than just that.

Emerald City Comicon 2015 begins tonight, March 26th, launching us into quite possibly the most ComicsAlliance-filled convention of the con season. ECCC is a beloved convention not least because it is still very comics focused and has a great community feel. While ECCC is now owned by ReedPop, it's unlikely there will be a lot of ReedPop, it's likely to retain its unique character, especially given how recent the purchase was. CA folks are quite active at ECCC every year, meaning you can see any number of past and present (and maybe future?) ComicsAlliance editors and contributors on panels. If you want to hear us speak on panels, or if you want to talk about comics with us, here's where you can find CA folks at ECCC this weekend (and yes, we're pretty sure they cloned Kate Leth this year).

Emerald City Comicon Offers "All Gender" Restrooms
Once again cementing its place as the most inclusive of the major comic conventions, Emerald City Comicon just announced that as of this year's convention, there will be men's, women's, and all gender restrooms. This is a great acknowledgement that not everyone identifies as a man or woman or feels comfortable in restrooms for those genders. The all gender restrooms are gender neutral and open to everyone.

San Diego Comic-Con's Dubious Harassment Policy Doesn't Work
San Diego's Comic-Con International has a problem that it doesn't want to address. See, a few weeks back, a group called GeeksForCONsent launched a petition urging Comic-Con to adopt a formal harassment policy in place of the broad, basically unenforceable "code of conduct" that's currently in place. Like many conventions, SDCC has a huge problem with women -- particularly women cosplayers -- being harassed by other con-goers and dubious media "professionals", and the present policy offers victims little recourse.
