Have you ever wondered why Batman can’t be Batman, but also kind of like an angsty, teenage Spider-Man too? If you answered “yes” to any or all of these questions and have somehow never managed to hear of Batman Beyond, hold onto your bats, because I’m about to blow your freakin' mind. With the recent launch of Batman Beyond Rebirth #1 as part of DC’s Rebirth initiative, this seemed like as good a time as any to take a look at some of the amazing art the show inspired.

Ever since Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad teamed up to take on Mr. Twister in The Brave and the Bold #54, way back in the summer of 1964, The Teen Titans have been the second most important superhero team in the DC Universe. And considering the most important team, the Justice League, is basically a pantheon of gods, that's nothing to sneeze at. Being comprised of younger heroes, the Titans are the team who live on the cutting edge and reflect the times (in the strange ways that comics do) whether it's crazy made-up Bob Haney 1960's slang, or Marv Wolfman and George Perez injecting X-Men-inspired 1980's soap opera. We put together a gallery of the best Teen Titans fan art to celebrate these heroic kids.

Justice Dawns: The Best DC Trinity Fan Art Ever
Since their introductions at the birth of the age of superheroes, these three colossal champions of good have stood above countless contemporaries and inspired so many others, both in their fictional world and in ours. But more than that, they’ve also stood together and come to represent the very core of the DC Universe from which every other aspect of that world radiates. Who can truly say what it is that has both separated and united these three above all others, but I’d like to think it goes beyond just sales figures, and that the money part is just a happy bonus. So as you ruminate on your thoughts and theories about the movie, or make your plans to go see it again, take a couple of minutes and enjoy this collection of some of the best Trinity fan art the internet has to offer.

Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice: The Best Powerpuff Girls Fan Art
With a brand-new Powerpuff Girls series headed to Cartoon Network this spring, this seems like the perfect time to gather some Powerpuff fan art for your enjoyment. Ever since Professor Utonium accidently created them in his lab in 1998, the Powerpuff Girls have been the heroes of Townsville and some of the most influential superheroes to originate on television rather than comics. The girls comprise a perfectly balanced team despite the small number (and small stature). Buttercup is the violent tomboy, Bubbles is the sunny girly-girl, and Blossom, as the leader, falls between those extremes. Add the Professor as an Alfred figure and the Mayor of Townsville as their Commissioner Gordon, and you have a perfect little superhero premise.

If you were born any time in the past 90 years or so, there's a pretty good chance you've been frightened, unsettled, menaced or just generally made uncomfortable by one or more of the villains in a Disney animated film. Understandably, it's the protagonists of Disney films --- particularly the princesses --- who get a lot of attention from fan artists, but as it's October, we here at ComicsAlliance are taking the time to shine a spotlight on villains, those characters who make it their mission to throw obstacles in the way of fresh-faced (and occasionally hunchbacked, wooden. or passed-out) heroes.
