And since there’s no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we’re taking it upon ourselves to compile Top Five lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics. This week we’re looking at five of the worst Superman rip-offs! Superheroes are a dime a dozen, but there’s only one Superman… basically. Superman is the best. Just the absolute best. So, of course, everybody is going to try to bootleg his style, even DC! Everyone has tried. And tried. And tried. And tried. Some have done a better job than others. Some have started out awful, but become great. Today we’re going to look at five of the worst!

As the longest continuously published super-heroine of all time, Wonder Woman has quite a few stories in her bibliography. But while it's easy to name the best and most loved stories featuring her co-stars in Batman Grrrr Superman: Lazy Sunday Brunch with Justice, for the casual fan, it might be hard to single out the best reads starring the Amazon Princess.

It's just that the nature of all the experiments was along the line of "How many pouches can I fit on this thigh?" and "How many blades can one man bear?" or "What if a gun were made of concrete?"

Even though comics as a form of entertainment are almost synonymous with jokes and making people laugh, modern comic books have stayed far away from comedy for the most part. And I mean, really far away. But there are still some characters and creators out there that remind us that it's okay for comics to make us smile every now and then.

If you have ever needed evidence that Rob Liefeld is clearly a prescient genius, there can be no better sign than the fact that back in those paleolithic days before household internet was a common thing, he managed to create a superhero that feels designed specifically for Imgur. Deadpool's greatest power is not his healing factor or swords, but rather that he is a one-man meme-generating machine.

Everyone loves Spider-Man, and since almost everything that happens in the Marvel Universe happens in New York City, it’s no surprise that Marvel’s most popular web-slinging New Yorker has run into basically every Marvel character at one point or another. But this week, we’re not just looking for some random time Spidey and Daredevil stopped a bank robbery and got hot dogs. We’re talking about the kind of crossovers that are so colossal or crazy that they only come around once in a great while.

In their over fifty years of existence, the Teen Titans have been the premiere team of young heroes in comics, with various peaks and troughs of critical and commercial success. Several incarnations of the team have made a significant impression on readers, from the original lineup, to the '80s revamp, to their stint as Young Justice with the subsequent rebirth of the Titans team. However, in between these popular highs have come a number of less-appreciated characters and concepts who deserve another turn in the spotlight. This video takes a look at a handful of these.
