While October's trailer for Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment's upcoming Justice League: War animated movie seemed to show that the adaptation of Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's debut New 52 Justice League arc may take some liberties with the original story, the just-released first clip of the movie appears to indicate it will stick pretty close to it.
See that clip, which features Green Lantern meeting with Batman for the first time after fighting a Parademon, after the jump.
Though Justice League War is the first of DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation's features to adapt a storyline from the New 52, it seems Wonder Woman will be getting a unique new look rather than donning Jim Lee's DC Comics design. In an image tweeted by PR professional Gary Miereanu, Wonder Woman (voiced by actress Michelle Monaghan) can be seen chatting with Steve Trevor over ice cream cones in a sleeveless suit with armbands, a higher-than-traditional neckline, and a slightly darker color scheme (more navy and crimson rather than brighter blues and reds). You can see what you think of Diana's upcoming Justice League War look -- or at least one of them? -- after the cut.
After DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation announced the release of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, it seemed inevitable that animated adaptations of New 52 stories were coming as well. Any speculation was ended earlier today, as it was revealed that Justice League War, the first DC Universe animated film of 2014, will be based on the Justice League story from Geoff Johns, and Jim Lee that introduced readers to the New 52 universe.
