If you've been following Archie's adventure comics, then you might remember that a good chunk of 2013 was taken up with "Worlds Collide," a massive crossover between Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man. If you missed it, then trust me, it was a pretty big deal - so big, in fact, that it seems like Archie, Sonic and Capcom have decided to follow it up with an even bigger crossover: "Worlds Unite," a full-on mashup of Sega and Capcom characters, set to launch in May, finally bring us one step closer to my dream of Jughead showing up in a Street Fighter game.
What? We're actually getting Archie vs. Predator, do you really think that couldn't happen?
Suiting his speedy nature, Sonic the Hedgehog is never far from a new video game, having starred in more than 70 since his debut in Sega Genesis in 1991. But animation? Despite a starring in a flurry of shows in the 1990s including two simultaneous (but tonally different) cartoons circa 1994, an original animated video from Japan in 1996, the rock and roll themed Sonic Underground in 1999 and finally Sonic X in 2003-2004, it's been almost a decade since Sonic and friends squared off with Dr. Eggman in a proper animated series. That's set to change in the fall of 2014, with a new CG animated series with the working title Sonic Boom set to debut on Cartoon Network.
Kids: Some awesome minicomics were made by the Junior Girl Scouts of America Gables Elementary Troop 1320 when they visited the Cartoon Library this week as part of an effort to "learn about comics, self-publishing, and to earn their Drawing Badge!" Congrats on the badges, Troop 1320!
With Dr. Arnim Zola set to appear in at least his human form in Captain America: The First Avenger, fans of disgusting evil torso faces everywhere have been squirming to find out whether the HYDRA scientist's robot form would manifest. While h
Leading up to the July 19 release of its Captain America: The First Avenger videogame tie-in, Captain America: Super Soldier, Sega's introducing fans to key villains they'll face in battle via development dossiers and mug shot profiles. Cap will throw down with a variety of foes on his journey in, around and through a HYDRA castle fortress, meaning m
We were pretty impressed with Sega's prologue trailer for its PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Captain America: Super Soldier last week, but what of the Captain America: The First Avenger movie tie-in's other versions on the Wii and DS? Over the course of E3 Sega dropped a number of new screen shots from Captain America: Super Soldier, which give potential players some cool glimpses of the adventure game. The most interesting shot? Probably the seeing Cap in front of a portrait of a very comics-looking Baron Zemo. See what you think of the new screens after the jump.We already k
It may not be footage from Captain America: The First Avenger, but Sega's new prologue trailer for its videogame tie-in Captain America: Super Soldier is most assuredly the next best thing. If you like seeing Cap take on an
Gaming: Sega has released new images of Captain America: Super Soldier relating to GameStop's preorder exclusive content for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions: Ultimates 1942 Captain America costume, the "Ballroom Blitz" Challenge Mode Map, early in-game access to Cap's "Weaponize" ability.
With Marvel's Thor calling down the lightning in theaters everywhere, it's no surprise that the mandatory video game tie-ins are hitting shelves too. Released by Sega on all major systems -- including the PS3, which could probably use a nice single-player game for fans to enjoy right about now -- the games promise fans the experience of stepping into Thor's boots and bashing frost giants' faces in all across the Nine Worlds.
