After a troubled development, several delays and news of the show it's based on being canceled, the video game Young Justice: Legacy is finally out today.
The game, which was written in conjunction with the show's producers and fills in the gap between Young Justice's first and second seasons on Cartoon Network, explains why some of the characters changed rather drastically. It's likely the last fans will be seeing of these versions of the characters, barring another tie-in comic series (the initial series, which ran for 25 issues, ended in February) or something similar. Check out a handful of screenshots after the jump.
Cartoon Network has pulled Beware the Batman off the air, even though it's only been part of its Saturday morning schedule since mid-July. The next episode, which was scheduled for this Saturday, won't be running.
Fans can hold out a little hope, though: Anthony Ruivivar, the actor who voices Batman on the show, Tweeted that it may return in January.
Cartoon Network's DC Nation block may now be devoid of new Young Justice episodes, but Little Orbit's Young Justice: Legacy video game is still forging ahead with its planned September 10 release date on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii-U, PC and Steam. On top of a full game trailer that dropped in May and a bit of footage shown at E3, Diehardgamefan has posted a few brand new screen shots from the in-continuity cartoon tie-in briding the show's first and second seasons.
