Miles Morales is only a few fan months old, but the new star of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #1 by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli is wasting no time populating -- at least vicariously -- Marvel's videogames. The black and red costume of new Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales will appear in Activision's upcoming Spider-Man: Edge of Time as well as Gazillion's Marvel Super Hero Squad Online. Players will be able to don the threads in Edge of Time as an alternate outfit when the game arrives on October 4. Marvel Super Hero Squad Online players, on the other hand, will have to enter a registration drawing to be able to win one of just 30 of the new Ultimate Spider-Man costumes.Though Miles Morales himself won't necessarily be a playable character in these games since the costume acts as a skin for an already-programmed Peter Parker persona, it's very telling that Marvel's already pushing his look in multimedia. The original Ultimate Spider-Man starred in a wide console release in 2005 and has since starred in several mobile games plus 2010's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. At this rate, Miles could be starring in his own title before too much longer.

Update: The Super Hero Squad version Miles Morales is indeed a full-fledged new character with his own power emotes and more, marking the character's first actual in-game appearance as a playable character.
