Marvel Minimates Wave 42 to Feature Thunderstrike, Arnim Zola and More

The Summer of Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger has produced its share of Marvel movie toys, but this September, Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum will cater to the comic versions of the toy heroes and their supporting casts with Marvel Minimates Wave 42 and the Toys "R" Us Wave 12. Interestingly, these waves pack in mostly first-appearance characters, with Thunderstrike, Arnim Zola, Balder, Crossbones and the alien Stone Man joining the Minimates fold. What's more, fans who couldn't catch the Comic-Con exclusive Beta Ray Bill will have ample chances to pick up the tiny space horse thunderer. - Armored Thor with Beta Ray Bill (metallic)

- Civil War Captain America (with helmet) with Arnim Zola

- Thunderstrike with Stone Man

- Eric Masterson as Thor (rare variant) with Stone Man

Toys "R" Us will stock a few of the same characters, but have two exclusive sets in its 12th wave of Marvel two-packs:

- Armored Thor with Beta Ray Bill (metallic)

- Civil War Captain America (with helmet) with Arnim Zola

- Jack Kirby Thor with Balder

- Secret War Captain America with Crossbones
