DC Comics keeps trying to make Deathstroke happen, and after years of attrition, it finally looks like the mercenary is finally getting his due. With a successful comic series in the DC Rebirth era, major appearances in two upcoming DC Cinematic Universe films, and several spots in the television universe, it seems everything is coming up Deathstroke. Well now his fans have one more thing to look forward to in 2017: a One:12 Collective figure from Mezco.

Deathstroke is arguably the second-most armored-up figure in the One:12 Collective so far, aside from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman figure that's recently been released. That dude was all armor, all the time though, and Slade here has a bit more flexibility in his design. To be the most agile and adept combatant in the DCU, you need a bit more mobility than just a straight-up armor suit can give you.

The detailing in those areas is rather good though, which is to be expected from the One:12 Collective at this point. The leg armor and chest plate have some solid machining elements included, as do the forearm and shoulder portions. The helmet is solid, and has a bit more of a real-world feel to it, even though I'm not crazy about the red eye. It just seems to clash with Deathstroke's traditional colors a bit too much.

Thankfully, in addition to all the weapons --- a machine gun, handgun and sword --- Deathstroke comes with an unmasked head sculpt as well. The portrait of Slade Wilson looks really nice, and Mezco's clearly captured the grizzled detail of his aging appearance.

The One:12 Collective Deathstroke is available for pre-order now ford $75, and is expected to arrive in Q3 2017.
